Taste as you go!
The next time you head into the kitchen, consider this piece of advice! When it comes to cooking, flavors build as we season, obtain color and tenderize (depending on what we are cooking of course). Keeping this in mind, season lightly in the beginning and check for a perfect flavor profile right before you serve. For example, if you salt too heavily in the beginning, it could either dehydrate the protein (salt pulls moisture from proteins which is why we don’t season until right before cooking) or as the sauce thickens and becomes more concentrated and intense in taste, so does the salt!
And always remember, we can always add more but we can’t always add less.
