Cinco De Mayo is to thank for this creation! Running low on avocados, my friend decided to “doctor them up” with some sour cream. At first I thought, how could you ruin a classic, but as I timidly dipped my salt laden tortilla chip inside and braved for the impact upon taste, I was beyond delighted. Who would have thought!

4 ripe avocados, pitted, avocado removed
1/4 cup low-fat sour cream
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon lime juice, approximately 2 lime
kosher salt, as desired
1. In a medium bowl, add avocado and using a fork, mash until smooth. Add sour cream, cumin, onion powder, lime juice, and salt, mixing until combined. Adjust seasoning with more salt and lime juice as desired.
2. Serve with your favorite chips for dipping or as an accompaniment to your Mexican favorites, like taco-night!
Kitchen Note: Sour cream can be omitted all together for a pure guacamole without the dairy.
