Mango Pineapple Banana and Almond Milk Smoothie

I absolutely love how the almond milk gives this smoothie a beautiful creamy richness. For those looking to cut out dairy, or for those that simply prefer almond milk, this recipe is for you!

1 cup frozen pineapple

1 cup frozen mango

1 ripe banana

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

Method:

1. In a blender, add pineapple, mango, banana and almond milk. Note: When fruit is in season, use fresh and add ice starting with 1 cup, adding more or less depending on desired consistency.

2. Blend on low until incorporated and then high until smooth.

3.  Serve immediately.

Kitchen Note: I like to use frozen fruit so the smoothie doesn’t get watered down from the ice – I tend to drink smoothies so slowly that the ice often melts before I can finish it – and it’s super cold. However, that being said, fresh fruit is always the preferred option. Feel free to substitute coconut, soy, or nonfat milk for the almond milk. Craving a little more sweetness? Try adding honey, maple syrup, or agave.
